5/ I lost an item at CDM. How can I get it back?

Visitors enquiring about lost items can contact: vs@childrensdiscoverymuseum.hk
Kindly reclaim lost item within two weeks of notifying CDM. Otherwise, it will be donated or thrown away. Items that are perishable or hygiene-related will be disposed of at the end of each day.

If requested and possible, visitors are responsible to cover any expenses related to the return of the lost item. CDM bears no responsibility for any damages or loss that may occur during the return process.

6/ Can I drop off my child at the museum?

CDM aims to foster parent-child relationships through playing at CDM. As safety is CDM's number one priority, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Additionally, as the "Banyan Tree Climber" within the "Our Natural World, Our Consumer World" area is designed for children 5 - 10 years old, we strongly recommend that an adult accompanies children under 5 years old to climb it.

Ticketing

1/ I need to change my session date.

Change of date and time slot must be made at least seven (7) days before the purchased time slot, subject to availability (e.g. Purchased session date: Sat. Sept. 8th; Last date to apply ticket swap: Sat., Sept. 1st). Less than seven days before the purchased time slot, change of date and time slot is not permitted, under any circumstances or reasons. Unused or expired tickets cannot be changed to a future time slot nor refunded.

Changes to session date or time can be accommodated only if space is available. There is a service fee of HKD$15 for successful or unsuccessful booking for the one time change. Please visit here to make the change.

2/ I need to purchase more tickets for the same session! What can I do?

Please head to our ticketing platform where session times are available and fill in the required information again. Then enter the previous buying number at the bottom of the page. Additional tickets must also meet the CDM requirement ratio of children to adults. No service will be applied for this change. Please visit here to buy additional tickets.

3/ Can I purchase a walk-in ticket?

We strongly recommend purchasing tickets online to secure your desired session time. If the session is not full, walk-ins for the current session and sessions for the current day are welcome. All other session times should be purchased online.

4/ Does everyone need a ticket? What about babies/toddlers (0 - 3 year olds)?

CDM is for families with children from 0 - 10 years old. All children and adults will need a ticket to enter.

CDM has four areas, "Transit Tots" is especially for toddlers between 0 to 3 years old. Seniors, 65 years old and above, can enjoy senior pricing. For more details, please click here.

5/ Does the price of a child's ticket include one adult?

Every child and every adult will need to buy a ticket. (E.g. If two adults and one child wish to visit CDM, please purchase two adults and one child ticket.)

6/ I cannot make my session time. Can I get a refund?

Under any circumstances, tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.

7/ My child is sick or the adult bringing the child is sick. Can I re-book to another session time?

Yes - a one-time rebooking upon presentation of eligible sick leave certificate* is allowed.
To be eligible to rebook, the sick leave certificate must be provided to CDM within 48 hours of when the booked session time begins. No rebooking will be permitted if sick leave certificate is presented after 48 hours. Rebooking must be for the entire group associated with the admissions ticket.
Please email sick leave certificate to booking@childrensdiscoverymuseum.hk. We will reply within three (3) business days.

*Eligible sick leave certificate must be issued by a doctor and indicate the booked session date.

8/ Are there group tickets?

We offer field trip packages to School and NPOs/NGOs. For details, please click here.

9/ How do I enter CDM?

After successfully purchasing your ticket, you should receive an email from Art-mate that has a QR code in it. If it is not there, please check your spam/junk folder.

10/ Is re-entry allowed?

Re-entry for the same person is allowed. However, no exchange of adults or children are allowed. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If no adult can accompany the child, all parties must leave together.

11/ I didn't receive a confirmation QR code email!

Please check your spam/junk folder. If it is not there (it usually is!), then please contact our ticketing platform, Art-mate at: info@art-mate.net
Alternatively, on the day of your visit, please state your name and phone number you used to purchase the tickets at the Visitor Service desk.

12/ Does everyone in my group have to arrive at the same time?
