2025 Worldwide Day of Play Social Media Promotion
Terms and Conditions
1) Promotion: 20% off one 1.5-hour play session.
2) Promotion period: September 27, 2025
3) Promotion is applicable for the entire group purchasing tickets, but showing that two friends were tagged in the social media post on either Facebook or Instagram is required before entry into CDM. Failure to show the social media post and that two friends were tagged will require payment of the price difference before entry is allowed.
4) Visitors who wish to purchase a 1.5-hour online session must enter the Promo Code [WDP2025] in the "Promo Code" field during the online ticket purchasing process to enjoy the discount. After entering the Promo Code, the system will automatically apply the discount and will be displayed on the page.
5) If the discount is not applied before payment, CDM will not accept responsibility for any loss and no refunds will be issued.
6) The Promo Code cannot be used in conjunction with other codes or discounts. If the number of tickets purchased exceeds the applicable limit of the Promo Code, the additional tickets will be charged based on the ticket price listed.
7) If the Promo Code holder wishes to purchase a discounted "Child Drop-off Child Experience" ticket, please send an WhatsApp to inform us at least 1 working day in advance. Before entry, parents must read the relevant Terms and Conditions, Waiver and fill in the "Participation Agreement" form. 8) One (1) person one (1) ticket.
9) Change Requests After Ticket Redemption
i) Request for change of reservation date within 15 minutes from the completion time of the ticket redemption can only be made if space is available. No admin fee will be required. Request to change can only be made once.
Requests made 16 minutes and beyond from the completion time of the ticket sale transaction will require a $50 admin fee. Change request for a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday can only be made to the 13:00 - 14:30 session time. Any price difference in ticket fees must be paid.
ii) Request to change can only be made once. The newly selected session time must be on or before October 12, 2025.
iii) Unused tickets will be considered as forfeited and cannot be changed to a future time slot, refunded, or exchanged for any other services and/or merchandise.
iv) Sick arrangement, please see point (10) below.
v) Inclement weather arrangement, please see point (11) below.
10) Rebooking Due to Sickness
i) Visitors who cannot visit CDM due to illness may have a one time request to rebook a session. Visitors are required to send the medical certificate through email within 48 hours of the original visiting time. Late request will not be considered.
ii) If all visitors within the purchased ticket will rebook to another session, please send the medical certificate to booking@childrensdiscoverymuseum.hk, the museum will handle the request within three to seven working days.
iii) If only a portion of the visitors within the purchased group will request to rebook to another session, visitors who will visit CDM on the day of their purchased ticket must inform the museum's Visitor Services counter. The sick party is responsible to send the medical certificate to booking@childrensdiscoverymuseum.hk, the museum will handle the request for the visitors to visit at another time within three to seven working days.
iv) Change request for a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday can only be made to the 13:00 - 14:30 session time. Any price difference in ticket fees must be paid.

11) Inclement weather arrangement
i) If the Hong Kong Observatory hoists the Black Rainstorm signal, or the typhoon signal No. 8 or above 2.5 hours before the start of a session, the session will be postponed. No cancellation or refund will be provided for the postponed session. If CDM decides to close due to inclement weather, person responsible for the booking must register for another session within three (3) days from the original date of the session, failure to do so will deem the booking as forfeited. ii) Red Rainstorm Signal
CDM will open during Red Rainstorm signal. Scheduled sessions and parties will continue. Requests to rebook a visit are not accepted.
CDM will remain open if Red Rainstorm signal is hoisted during a session.
** If the Hong Kong Observatory lowers the Black Rainstorm signal to the Red Rainstorm signal during a session time, please check our website and social media page for latest updates about when CDM will open. iii) Black Rainstorm Signal
If Black Rainstorm signal is hoisted before our opening hours, the morning session will be closed.
If Black Rainstorm signal is cancelled at/before 11:00, CDM will aim to open at 13:00.
If Black Rainstorm signal is cancelled between 11:00 to 13:00, CDM will aim to re-open within two hours of the Hong Kong Weather Observatory announcement. ie. Announcement of lowering the signal is at 12:30, CDM will open at 14:30.
If Black Rainstorm signal remains in effect from 13:00 onwards, CDM will be closed for the day.
If Black Rainstorm signal is hoisted during our opening hours, CDM will remain open.
Rebooking of museum tickets are ONLY accepted when:
(1) the original admission time was when the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal was in force
(2) the original admission time was within 2 hours after the cancellation of Black Rainstorm signal
iv) Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3
CDM will open as usual.
Requests to rebook a visit are not accepted.
CDM will remain closed for the day if the typhoon signal No. 8 is lowered to the typhoon signal No. 3 after 13:00.v) Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or Above / Extreme Conditions
If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions is hoisted before our opening hours, the morning session will be closed.
If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions is cancelled at/before 11:00, CDM will aim to open at 13:00.
If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions is cancelled between 11:00 to 13:00, CDM will aim to re-open within two hours of the Hong Kong Weather Observatory announcement. ie. Announcement of lowering the signal is at 12:30, CDM will open at 14:30.
If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions remains in effect from 13:00 onwards, CDM will be closed for the day.
If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 will be issued within two hours as announced by the Hong Kong Observatory during our opening hours, CDM will close 30 minutes after the announcement.
Rebooking of museum tickets are ONLY accepted when:
(1) the original admission time was when the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions was in force
(2) the original admission time was within 2 hours after the cancellation of the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions
12) Privacy
CDM reserves the right to photograph, film, record or otherwise reproduce the image and/or sounds of any person who enters CDM/during the workshop and use the documentation for any purpose and marketing use without payment to any person. If you do not wish yourself and/or your child to be photographed or filmed, you must inform CDM in writing.
13) Health and Safety
i) CDM reserves the right to refuse entry to any persons whose body temperature is higher than 37 degrees Celsius (as indicated by the temperature detector used by CDM) or to those who have significant respiratory infections into the museum.
ii) CDM reserves the right to determine the severity of the symptoms and refuses admittance of any child if CDM believes there is any medical concern. No refund or compensation will be given if entry is refused due to illness.
iii) By making the payment, you agree to waive your right to pursue legal action against CDM or its staff or interns from any and all liability for injury, illness, or any other condition of yourself or your child(ren) that may occur during direct or indirect participation in any activities or programs while at CDM and after leaving CDM.
General
14) By entering into CDM, all visitors agree to abide by the "Visiting Guide", as well as the "Terms and Conditions" and "Disclaimer" listed on the CDM website. The Children’s Museum Ltd. reserves the right to change the "Terms and Conditions" at any time.
15) The Hong Kong Children's Discovery Museum reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions, change or terminate the offer without any notice. In case of any dispute, the Museum reserves the right of final decision.
16) If there is any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
