  • No guided tours are provided, because CDM is all about open-ended, child-led play, so there are no defined paths to play! Our Discovery Staff in orange aprons can speak Cantonese, Putonghua and English and welcome any questions you may have.

  • CDM aims to foster parent-child relationships through playing at CDM. Safety is CDM's number one priority, children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Our museum is suitable for children who are 0 - 10 years old and their families. For more details about our exhibits, please kindly visit our exhibit page.

  • Visitors enquiring about lost items can contact: vs@childrensdiscoverymuseum.hk.

    Once CDM confirms lost item is found, kindly reclaim lost item within two weeks. Otherwise, it will be donated or thrown away. Items that are perishable or hygiene-related will be disposed of at the end of each day.

    If requested and possible, visitors are responsible to cover any expenses related to the return of the lost item. CDM bears no responsibility for any damages or loss that may occur during the return process.

 

Booking

  • CDM provides two different ways to purchase tickets. Visitors can purchase tickets through our ticketing platform for 1.5 hour seesion or purchase 1-hour walk-in tickets onsite.

  • Visitors can purchase 1-hour walk-in tickets onsite. If there is space, you can enter immediately or you may have to wait to gain entry. * Walk-in tickets are available on days that CDM is open between 1pm till the end of the business day.

    * The number of tickets available may vary. To avoid disappointment, we encourage visitors to purchase tickets online before coming.

  • Every child and every adult will need to buy a ticket. (E.g. If two adults and one child wish to visit CDM, please purchase two adults and one child ticket.)

  • All children and adults need a ticket to enter, including babies and toddlers, as we have exhibits suitable for them too!

  • Groups of 20 total people or more should email (booking@childrensdiscoverymuseum.hk) for more details.

  • Re-entry for the same person is allowed. However, no exchange of adults or children are allowed. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If no adult can accompany the child, all parties must leave together.

  • Educators and fellow museum colleagues: Please make an appointment to visit in advance. Indicate your school or organization name, as well as your contact number in your request email to booking@childrensdiscoverymuseum.hk

  • CDM has a maximum capacity of 160 visitors. Available walk-in ticket quota is dependent on current visitor numbers. The maximum capacity per session will be adjusted without prior notice.

  • To check whether or not a session is full, choose the preferred date and time. If it does not say, "Sold out", tickets right at that moment are still available.

  • The email issued by the ticketing platform may be delayed - please patiently wait at least 2 hours before contacting us.

    It could also have been classified as a junk/spam - kindly check your junk/spam folder.

  • The indicated session time is your set session time. Please arrive at the museum ten minutes before your session begins for the admission procedure. No compensation will be made for any late arrivals.
