Discovery Assistant
If you wish to seek an opportunity to use your skills in communication, customer service, problem solving and are passionate about children and/or education, join us!
As a Discovery Assistant, you will have the chance to get a deeper understanding of interacting with families in Hong Kong!
Responsibilities
Ensure museum visitors’ safety and efficient entry/exit flow of visitor traffic
Provide guest services and information regarding the museum’s exhibits and activities
Take ownership of designated areas, reset and clean exhibits between use and sessions
Support the museum’s health and safety measures to ensure a clean and safe environment
Assist/Lead workshop activities
Requirements
Holder of Hong Kong Permanent ID card who is age of 18 or above
Fluent in Cantonese and English. Mandarin is a plus.
Outgoing personality and enjoys talking to visitors
Responsible, positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively
Experience working with children and families is a plus
This opportunity requires a long term commitment of a minimum of 8 hours per week for at least three months. Available days to volunteer are from Tuesday to Sunday.
Depending on volunteers’ knowledge, professional experience, interest and availability, other opportunities to contribute to CDM, such as administrative work, staff training or marketing projects, are possible.
